My focus will be on the very important Organ that keep us alive HEART HEALTH/HEART DISEASE/CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE
Cardiovascular disease generally refers to conditions that involve narrowed or blocked blood vessels that can lead to heart attack, chest pain or stroke. However, other heart conditions such as those that affect heart muscles valves or rhythm are also considered as forms of heart disease and many of which are related to a process called atherosclerosis. Blood clots in the veins can also block blood especially vital organs, raptured blood vessels in the brain leading to stroke.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of deaths globally. More people die from these diseases than from anything else.
In 2015, approximately 17.7 million people died from cardiovascular disease worldwide, and they accounted for 31 percent of all registered premature deaths.

Of these:
• 7.4 million people died from coronary heart disease
• 6.7 million people died as a result of a stroke
Over 75 percent of deaths from cardiovascular disease occur in low and middle-income countries. They affect men and women equally.
Nigerian case is always different. Vanguard paper says, MORE NIGERIANS MAY DIE SUDDENLY DUE TO HEART ISSUES.
Why did the paper say many more Nigerians may die suddenly? This is because a lot of people are still not aware of the fact that ALL is not well with the heart anymore and the need to rescue the heart.
Prevention they say is better cheaper and safer than cure and it is better to be proactive than our current habit of being reactive.
I am so particular about the heart because that is the only organ that you cannot control.
You can control your mouth by opening and closing, your hand up and down.
But from birth your heart has been working even when you are sleeping.

• angina, considered both a cardiac and vascular disease
• arrhythmia, where there is an irregular heartbeat or heart rhythm
• congenital heart disease, when a problem with heart function or structure is present from birth.
• coronary artery disease (CAD), which affects the arteries that feed the heart muscle
• dilated cardiomyopathy
• heart attack
• heart failure, when the heart does not work properly.

Majority of cardiovascular diseases are preventable/managed by:
1. Quitting smoking; this is a significant risk factor for cardiovascular diseases
2. Consuming less alcohol
3. Eating natural herbs, fresh fruit and vegetables.
4. Taking natural food made in solvable forms
5. Reducing salt intake
6. Avoiding sedentary lifestyles, particularly among children, Bad habits during childhood will not lead to cardiovascular disease while the individual is still young; but they can lead to the accumulation of problems that continue into adulthood, resulting in a greater probability of having a cardiovascular disease later in life.

Children who eat a lot of salt have a much higher risk of hypertension when they are adults, as well as heart disease and stroke. Parents should also keep a close eye on how much saturated fat and sugar a child consumes.

Now let us focus on SAVING THE HEART and stop the ugly trend of sudden deaths.
TO SAVE THE HEART therefore, we must focus more on proper Heart Nutrition, with the right supplements that will provide all that the heart muscle requires.
